Presentation, in the sense of personal presentation.

I was horrified to see that Lizo has ditched his iconic black-framed glasses!

Most probably this is all part of his recent promotion from Newsround to Entertainment Correspondent for BBC News. He was covering Kylie's appointment as OBE.

I'm more horrified that the BBC allowed him to present ''grown up'' stories! Lizo, when you stop your silly eleven year old school boy accent and ridiculous facial expressions, I might accept you as a journalist, but for now, go back to Newsround.

Watch the Six, he's most likely doing the package on Kylie.

And Jonathan, Julie Etchingham started off on Newsround. Give Lizo a chance. I agree with some of your points, but he's not going to go super-sincere over night.

And I also think his personality suits "entertainment" correspondent perfectly!

Yep, Newsround is good training ground for "adult news" Look at Kristian Guru-Murphy for starters.

I agree completely. He grew up in Solihull like me and I do not share the same ridiculous way of talking. He over pronounces his words way too much - almost like he's trying to talk with a mouth full of treacle.

Yep. Other Newsround presenters include Juliet Dunlop, Chris Rogers, Roger Finn, Helen Rollason and Kate Sanderson, all of whom successfully made the transition to 'adult' news. Lizo just needs time to adjust, that's all.

but these people all came and went in the time Lizo was there - he was around for donkey's years and still sounds like he's on kids TV.

You missed the obvious example - John Craven (I think CountryFile can just about be classed as current affairs and thus as just about news!)

Julie and Krishnan though are very good journalists and were only stuck at Newsround for a couple of years.

Lizo has been there ten years - and still hasn't improved. He should be kept well away from the BBC news room.

Are you saying that by the end of ten years he should be reading as Huw does on the Ten? Give him a chance. He's an Ents correspondent, not Political or anything high brow. He's not going to switch style like that. *clicks fingers*
