Technical question, is World taking a clean feed of BBC News 24 with Big Ted astons and over laying all the tog generated bits on top?, also I noticed World make a blunder by putting "News 24" as the headline text during the BBC World titles were played.

Had you bothered to check, it appears James (BBC WORLD) hasn't posted since about an hour after that one on Sunday morning, and had just arrived. I certainly hope he isn't another to find bad news there.

My advise to dog would be to be on James's shoes..that's if mr Dog has any friends at all. Imagine dear friends of you being in that area and not knowing if they are still alive. I would go as well if I had the money and my presence wouldn't affect the efforts of the different crews in the zone.Hopefully all his friends are safe and alive out there.

I also hope his friends are safe, but I have to question his priorities.

As Cat (no relation) said, surely he'd have other priorities than posting about news crews.

So what if his priority is to write about news teams? isn't that HIS bussiness?

Ohhhh - here goes:

1) Lost contact with friends. Was worried about them. Came personally to try to check if they are ok. My choice;

2) Arrived in Phuket. After a day or two, was able to ascertain that all were alive, if not entirely well;

3) The reason for my original post on this was just to give a local perspective and to let you all know (all you fans and members of this forum who are tv news freaks like me) how the media attention is being received and perceived by the local people.

4) Contrary to some ridiculous comments made by a correspondent above, I DID NOT COME HERE TO WITNESS THE MEDIA OPERATION. What type of person would do that, given the real events that are taking place alongside???????

5) And to answer the question of another member above, YES, I am indeed in Phuket. A quick check by the administrators to establish the location of the IP from where I posted would be able to thus verify. However, why should they, or me for that matter, bother to do this. If you don't want to believe or are sceptical, that's your call.

6) My contribution to the victims (as opposed to donation) was to come and help personally. Again, my choice.

Having just read your last post above, can I just say that you come across as incredibly juvenile. It's best not to try to second guess the motives and actions of someone that you don't know. All you are doing is making an a$$ of yourself.

Sadly, the internet and anonymous forums like this will always serve as partitions from where various people are able to hide and only emerge from time to time to throw stones..................
