As much as this is terrible news and our thoughts are with the friends and family of the owner, this doesn't really warrant its own thread.

What might be useful is a thread where posts can be made talking about how various channels are covering unusual stories which don't warrant their own discussion. Could include international stations for international elections in less newsworthy countries etc.

How the story has been covered has already been discussed in other threads for more than 24 hours now, so a dedicated thread is rather late and hence not required.
