Well you'd never know would you with all the coverage of the Russian Siege today on the News Channels.

Haven't seen anything of what I presume was a significant speech last night, and now he finds himself upstaged by Bill Clinton and his heart scare.

It was carried on the news channels live last night. Was also extensively rounded up this morning. Still showing on one of the Sky News Active screens.

Well fine, but I don't have Sky Digital and I wasn't up at 4am in the morning and I had a lie in this morning. It's my own fault then. Shocked

It's ok, you haven't missed much. More important things going on now.

In the US, the morning-after coverage of Bush's speech is being overshadowed both by Frances and Clinton.

True; I was thinking of the other two major domestic stories, but naturally this tragic development is getting substantial coverage.

I think the whole day sums up Rev Dublya of The Church of The Seventh Day Morons perfectly.

He's made the odd poor decision during his term of office, hopefully this last one being holding the convention on a bad news day.

It makes sending out e-mails on September 11th fade into insignificance, and SHE got the sack.

Yes, but she was trying to bury the news. surely Bush wanted to get noticed. Confused

Forgive me, but didn't Bush make the speech six hours BEFORE the seige ended? As much as I loathe the man, he couldn't possibly have known that the siege would end then. I'm sure he, as were most of us, was under the impression there wouldn't be a peaceful resolution soon because of the train of negociation. It has been said that the authorities didnt plan it in any way - as 200 dead children would testify.
