Very sad indeed. I only saw him presenting a few times on tv and in clips posted here. Seemed a great guy with an enjoyable presentation style.

Shocking and heartbreaking. He was a great pro and a tv face with huge personality. He quickly became one of the faces of BBC World and would have had even bigger things coming for him there.

Lyse was literally crying at the start of her interview on World an hour ago, Daniela was also on the verge of tears. The outpour of emotions from his BBC colleagues on Twitter but also from people working at other networks (CNN, ITV) says a lot.

RIP Komla

Extremely sad news of his passing. Only managed to catch him a handful of times on TV, but saw many of his reports on the BBC News website. He seemed to be a pro both in-front and behind the camera. RIP.

I'll never forget his excitement on the morning that World moved to their Olympic Studios overlooking the park. He was bouncing off the sofa with joy and full off geeky Olympic facts.
Lovely bloke

Very sad to hear. He had certainly become of the BBC WN's best presenters and was certainly very passionate about Africa. RIP.

It's telling how much of a liked and loved colleague he must have been with the various reactions that there have been. Adnan Nawaz's particularly heartfelt reaction just before half past two shows how his on-screen personality was the same as his off-screen one.

Mourning a loss is hard enough when someone has grown old; it's much harder when someone's life has been cut short. One can only try to sympathise with everyone involved.
