Shock today on central News East, after around 3 years Kevin Ashford announced his last central news at six was his last. Him and Marie have always got on well, but who will be the new face, if there is one that is??
I would love to see it all women again, Lucy Kite would be a splendid choice, or even Dan Baker, whom we haven't seen since the move to Birmingham, he was very good!

Thats a shame - met him a couple of times and I thought he was a very nice man. Dan Baker has left Central News.

Could it be the return of Llewella to CN East? She has disapeared on Central News for ages now... It aint as if she has to travel to Nottingham. Is Kevin leaving Central altgether?

That's a shame that Dan Baker has left, becuse him and Lucy amde really good couple on screen, actually better thnnKevin and Marie, they were a bit flirty and checky together.
Kevin said he didn't relly know what he was doing now, i think he mentioned spending time with the family, so he'll probbly do frelance or something i would presume, i think he is leaving Centr all together.
It would be great to see Llewella back on Central east, shes been there so many times to fill in , and it wouldn't be problem for her as it is now broadcst from Birmingham!
What has happened to Lisa Foden? She used to do the lunchtime and afternoon bulletin, i saw her on 1 item a few months back, but she is fantastic and would love to see her on screen again, she's perky and has that little something of presenting the news other people don't. How long was Kevin at CNE about 3 years i would think maybe just a bit longer? Its still quite a while.

It seems strange that many people seem to be leaving Central News, Jonthan Ray has defected to EMT, kevin left, Dan Baker left, wonder who wil be next??

So many people seem to have left this year and its all the good presenters/reporters as well.
