Their programmes don't have distinctive logos or stylised text to make them stand out from other labels. And the programme name is literally just her name, so even more difficult.

That’s what I said, the usual blue programme name strap. Not an error, they are making a conscious effort to continue branding the programme as “Kay Burley”.

Oh I see, a bit like

but not, it's with Sue Lawley ? Well, it's ludicrous, but hey, the la-la land of TV production logic.
I do find Kay quite watchable at times, but Niall does some very good interviews too and is a likeable presenter.
Sarah Hewson is also good and did well on Tuesday, stepping in to present the programme, following Kay being sent away from Coventry.

The perils of naming a show after the presenter! The graphics are a little bizarre really. As mentioned above the average viewer would think it’s a name strap, as we’ve seen in a couple of tweets. Also none of the relief presenters ever mention Kay Burley as far as I can recall, Niall didn’t today and Sarah didn’t yesterday. Niall didn’t get name checked at all today, didn’t introduce himself and no name strap for him either.
I reckon currently there’s more chance of Kay being sacked than her staying. That tweet from last night about her Africa trip has now been deleted. I think she’s handled the fall-out badly with that and also her initial tweet.
I don’t think anyone- including Kay- should underestimate how Comcast feel about all of this. Despite her 31 years at Sky, Comcast will still be a bit of an unknown quantity to her; there’s not yet been an instance where they’ve had to react to something like this. It might have been a different story were Rupert Murdoch still the puppet-master.
Lets all hope they bring back a double-headed weekday Sunrise brand with Stephen Dixon and Gillian Joseph as an alternative to the other mainstream double-headed breakfast shows.
