Kay will be off Sky News until next year:

Regardless of how far Kay breached the rules, it was an error of judgement and TV news journalists have to unimpeachable on matters like this.

Seems completely off that Beth Rigby is seemingly getting away with her behaviour despite being the one most directly involved in Covid coverage whilst others are being punished.

I hope it's Stephen Dixon.

True but we now know that Kay is off for the rest of the year so either Stephen or Niall for breakfast.

I don't think she did it last year.

If we don't see Beth on screen then I can imagine Sam Coates taking on her role for a bit. The PM is going to Brussels tomorrow and that is a significant domestic in it's own right and they would normally have Beth in place for reports from the UK.

Also when I watch the News At Ten on Sky, most of the time it's Beth or Sam reporting outside of Downing Street so let's see if Beth is on then.

All this negative attention isn't good for Kay and her colleagues, nor her rebranded Lion's Den programme they have kept pushing.

IMO she deserves this suspension. The colleagues who were also involved should be too. I always turn to Sky News coverage over rivals and often enjoy watching Kay's interviews, but this was wreckless behaviour and, considering their high profile jobs, they should know better.

I suppose you're calling for her resignation then....

If you are in the public eye you should lead by example. She shouldn’t lose her job but should face consequences. I have a very normal boring job but if my brought my employers reputation into disrepute then I would face a suspension etc. The same for anyone. And that’s the same for Beth Rigby. You can’t expect to lecture others on breaking the rules (or even the spirit of the rules) and expect to get off Scot-free yourself.

Not sure about that. Definitely deserves some punishment though, surely.

I wonder if we’ll see a name change since she’s not going to be on until the new year now.
