Have you listened to "Today" recently. The man's unlistenable- he'll get charged up about ANYTHING because someone's clearly convinced him that it makes him sound clever.
His confrontational attitude rarely gets any decent answers anymore and I can't remember the last time he managed to 'trap' one of his interviewees.
If you want a jumped up presenter with some intelligence- watch Paxman on Newsnight.
But congratulations to John, as cabinet ministers can now pretty much kill a 'difficult' interview by mentioning this event, and the rather tortuous statement the BBC has had to release.
I repeat- a stupid old man.
