I don't know whether it's true or not, but it probably isn't as I can't find any news on it - but Wikipedia is claiming that broadcaster John Humphrys died on Tuesday....

I think someone got mixed up between the old presenter of Mastermind (Magnus Magnusson) and John who is currently fronting MasterMind.

Can we perhaps have an announcement here asking folk not to reproduce rubbish from Wiki?

Wiki is not a news site. It should not be quoted as a source for anything.

Drawing attention to fake biographies only encourages idiots.

Do not EVER use Wikipedia as a source for information unless it cites a viable secondary source. If it does not contain such a source, it is useless.

If I edited the Wikipedia article about the Moon to say that it is made of cheese, it seems some people here would automatically believe it.
