Joe Biden's Inauguaration

TV Coverage - 20th January

Newsroom
Emily Maitlis has mentioned on Americast that she will be in Washington next week for the Inaugration, presumably for Newsnight.

Do we know if any of the ITV/ITN presenters going over

Only Tom Bradby as far as listings tell us along with Robert Moore and probably Emma Murphy.

I thought Tom Bradby might have been going back over for the Inaugration, hasn't Adam Boulton been over there for Sky News for about week already and the BBC have Katty, Laura T and Jane O'Brien so they don't need to send any presenters over

Exactly, there's no need unless all hell breaks loose at which point I am sure many will be despatched. So I guess it's only Maitlis that is heading over whom it has to be said it very prolific at covering US politics. I do hope she's utilised for coverage outside of Newsnight.

You know who I'd like to see host with Katty now, Emily Maitlis. She's already in Washington so maybe stick her on a balcony on Capitol Hill or they could have her and Katty at either end of the desk in the Washington Bureau studio

CNN have announced their coverage...

I'm surprised they're starting coverage as early as midnight - with Chris Cuomo on until 2am ET and then Poppy Harlow and Jim Sciutto together from 2-5. Is this purely for international (and potentially some late-night west coast) viewers - or do they think people will be watching that early on the east coast?

By contrast, MSNBC's coverage doesn't start until 6am ET.
