Joe Biden's Inauguaration

TV Coverage - 20th January

Just to clarify my post - it is a quote from the Virgin Media EPG (which is two weeks) - and no doubt for this programme comes directly from the ITV schedule.

Clearly not the sharpest tool in the box!

Oh come on! That was a pretty obvious joke at the time, and still is now.

It's actually amazing to look back at the chaos of the last 4 years, and look forward to a term of a presidency that will be considered somewhat boring by comparison.

CNN will probably simulcast domestic coverage from 10am UK, as they usually do a lot of "pre-game" coverage on Inauguration Day. I imagine MSNBC will do something similar, they've done all day coverage from Washington before for inaugurations as well.

Do you think we will see the return of sky’s U.S election graphics for the inauguration? Just saw a promo for it that used them.

I hope so, they entire Sky News election package was the best out of them, the BBC and ITV

It would be nice

As some would have hoped for, the election package was a little preview of what's to come
Quote:
Our “on the night” look for the election was a continuation of the campaign brand that had been running since September when the presidential debates started. Election night saw the introduction of the Sky Headline typeface to this established look; a fresh font coupled with the pristine layers News is renowned for made for a winning combo! Good job too, as this package is a effectively a little teaser for what’s to come post Project One…

Emily Maitlis has mentioned on Americast that she will be in Washington next week for the Inaugration, presumably for Newsnight.

Do we know if any of the ITV/ITN presenters going over

Only Tom Bradby as far as listings tell us along with Robert Moore and probably Emma Murphy.

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday both have Maitlis and Kirsty Wark down to do Newsnight so presumbly Matlis from Washington and Wark from the UK.

CNN Philippines has announced that they will have a special coverage on the Biden Inauguration, which looks like they will have their own coverage instead of a direct CNN simulcast.

I thought Tom Bradby might have been going back over for the Inaugration, hasn't Adam Boulton been over there for Sky News for about week already and the BBC have Katty, Laura T and Jane O'Brien so they don't need to send any presenters over
