Strictly speaking that's not accurate. There were at least 28 telephone complaints and 3 e-mail complaints to the Duty Office, and that's not counting any calls or e-mails to the newsroom directly. There were two messages of support on the Duty Log.

Complaints from people with nothing better to do than watch out for things to complain about and who have the Duty Office number on speed dial, no doubt.
An immediate apology was given, for what amounts to a simple slip of the tongue during a live programme. If it were scripted and planned then it could be considered an error of judgement, but as an accidental slip I can't really see what anybody complaining can expect as an outcome other than an apology - which has already been given.

The website of regional news programmes from ITV was intended for use by MPs when they were in Westminster and therefore unable to see the regional news programme for their constituency. It predates ITV regions being available on DSAT. Presumably it's still maintained because not all MPs offices in London have DSAT...

Was that an OFCOM requirement or a rare bit of Public (ish) Service from ITV? Or a cynical attempt to try and keep MPs on-side for any future Broadcasting Act amendments which might tweak their licenses?
