Hmm - but the set is horrid isn't it?

Better than most of ITV Regions sets, and it isn't a clone of London or Central. It is quite poor though, especially since most of TTTV's sets (they sent some people over) are/were of a high-quality.

Surely it wouldn't have taken much effort to stick individual yellow and blue squares on the backdrop rather than having them all stuck to the one bit of card first.

The Lookaround set is not that bad though, it's the best they've ever had. I quite like it, but there is no wide shot of the set at all now, just a fixed shot of the presenters at the start / end now, they used to have a high shot at the start / end.

I really don't think Border can afford much better than what they've got, they could never afford any big fancy screens or a backdrop of Carlisle or the newsroom etc.

I did see a tree up at the Meridian South East newsroom.

Tree in Points West. (Any one got a screen cap?)

Wales Today (cough, splutter!) must be the most boring BBC Opt-Out news programme at this time of year - it has NO tree or decorations
