Jane Hill takes One O'Clock News

Just noticed Jane has taken the 1. Not sure whether this is the reponse to the unfolding story in Russia, but anyway nice to see Jane in her inevitable home.

Um, why is it "inevitable" ??

Firstly my apologises, the above post was written in the hop. Allow me to follow-up more deeply (violins at the ready).
Right, I was commenting on Jane taking the one, when to my understanding Darren should have, although Ive a feeling he might be on his hols, Personally I though she was very good, and was the first time ive seen her take the one. In regard to the inevitable, it is widly rumoured that when Anne leaves, Jane will take her place, and I would add these cliams come from credibal BBC sources. Just commenting it was good to see her there.

Why wouldn't Darren replace Anna and then Jane maybe do it on Fridays - after all he is the second presenter...

And Jane's done the one loads of times over the past year...

He may be the second presenter, but IMO Jane is much better - to be honest i find Dareen quite wooden - and generally crap.

Hopefully when Anna leaves there will be a bigger reshuffle all round. Darren can go to BBC World if he wishes. Or even if he doesn't he should. *Mediocre* presenters are no longer acceptable, and Darren is one of them.

I agree Jane is much much better than Darren, all I was saying was, surely Darren would be the obvious choice?

And if your going to get rid of all the *mediocre* presenters then Sophie, Huw etc should be on their way out as well...
