I think the real snobbery is the assumption the "working class" care so much. Living capitalising on it though as ever, scheduling not one, but two, "tributes" to her. Thankfully they say they won't show the funeral - I just hope then if it's non-exclusive Sky News don't take up the mantle, as I believe they did with George Best.
I must admit to being very pleasantly surprised how this story has gone down the news agenda today following the breakfast programmes expected and perhaps justified coverage.
I saw a preview of the front cover of OK magazine today. The logo is white text on black (normally red) and a white on black strap at the top reads, "A nation mourns the death of its brightest star." With all due respect, if she was our brightest star and if the nation is indeed in mourning, it's a sad state of affairs.

Well there certainly wasn't a bright star in the OK office printing the tribute issue a week early.

Are you saying they don't? Therefore 'assuming' that the working class don't care?
What's your opinion on the matter Jugalug? It would be nice for once to see you actually contribute to the debate at hand for once and actually contribute to the forum in a positive manner.

Don't be chidish Brekkie, I asked you a simple question, albeit implying you held a certain opinion. Please answer it.
No I agree with that, I just think its wrong to imply (at least I inferred) that no working class people are interested. If that was the case then OK wouldn't sell.
Although I didn't really like Jade or see her relevance to anything, some people do like her. But comparisons with Diana are an insult to Diana and saying the nation is in mourning is quite ridiculous. Her funeral isn't on for 11 days, it'll be interesting to see if anyone takes any notice of it so long after her death.
Oh in terms of being self-made, she was a self-made woman. The way she went about it wasn't the traditional way, but she came from no where to being a successful millionaire businesswoman. What's wrong with that?
