ITV1 joins the ITV News Channel

Unusual for an ITV News special on ITV1 to carry the News Channel graphics - although I think in an instance like this the ticker is useful.

Great stuff from ITV News as always.

Five seem to have gone ahead with repeats of Home & Away and Family Affairs... odd they're not staying on air as both shows are only repeats anyway.

I don't think that Five should be condemned for not switching to news. We already have two terrestial channels that have switched to news coverage, I really do not think that Five and Channel 4 need to as well. They wouldn't get the viewers anyway.

ITV's coverage has been good but I don't think it has been any better than Sky News. In fact Rachel Ammatt's reporting on Sky News has been superb.

Sky News also haven't been to an ad break since about 10am so I don't know what all the fuss about ITV not showing ads is!

Yes that coverage from Rachel on SKY¦News was great but now Julian Manyon is now at the school and is just as good. Its just a shame that its taken Julian so long to get there. Nicholas Owen is saying that its one of the most 'amazing' news reports he has covered. It appears that some of the hostage takers are still within the school and stil fighting!

I can see Quincy not appearing at this rate! CITV on ITV2 possibly?

WOW this could be powerfull stuff!, although it sounds like they have about 6 seconds or so off that footage.

Sorry to be shallow here !!! but does anyone know if Loose Women will be on at 2pm ? .I feel that the news coverage should be kept to the ITV News Channel it's been over three hours of this now on ITV 1 and not much information about the regular schedule.

Why dont they continue ITV1 programmes on ITV2?
