I noticed tonight that Bob Warman was joined by his new co-host Sameena Ali-Khan a few weeks before the launch of the new Central Tonight for both the East and West Midlands.

The West Tonight started tonight with 'The West Country Tonight' DOG on the screen.

Finally - that must be the reason widescreen TV was invented!

I am right in thinking the regional news will have a new-look once the regions are merged together?

Unfortunately I think the current look will stay the same considering the same style new 'West Country Tonight' DOG appeared on The West Tonight like I posted earlier.

Only 11 days until the last edition of Westcountry Tonight, will be a shame that it's coming to an end.

It would also be the *only* edition if they called it 'Westcountry Tonight'; the current programme is called 'Westcountry Live' Wink

Maybe a new set of titles - as they are 'local region' specific - so merged regions should get something new - I think the sets will stay the same.

Why on earth would you think that, Ben?

Can you imagine the outrage if they spent money on a new look after all these redundancies?

I think it would be nice to see the set relit with a different colour. I have seen orange used on some of the regional sports programmes when they were around and that looked good.

Why?! They are going to want things to continue as normally and unnoticeably different as possible. Relighting the sets, and changing the graphics, will only alienate their core audience even more.

Saying that, I reckon that within a year, the regional news programmes will all be known as ITV Local.

Yes but the current look is becoming stale so I would of thought its an ideal tonight to have a face lift its not like the presenters arent going to mention the changes!
