Well of course I think it's terrible but then I would -- mind you they are putting a lot of effort into it all I suppose.

At least James Wrightness has been diluted again, but how rude putting Glyn in a box without a name now.

And how classy HTV viewers are -- the water in the backdrop is making them wee [thank goodness for that text service].

I approve of them still having a proper 10 second ending however, unlike most other regions.

Has anyone got any caps that they can share with us all?

It was great to see all the presenters sat around at the end - but what happened to the deaf person?

I notice that BBC Wales Today have adjusted their Cardiff Bay shot but it appears that the sun is still setting on their version and looks inferior compared to the ITV Wales version. So much so that they don't seem to be featuring it as much as normal.

PS - who was the BBC person supposed to be poached on tonight's news?

Ive always liked the titles and theme music so im glad they havent changed them much, and I agree about the 10 second ending, im glad they have kept that too. Not bothered about the signing people, at least they still have the headlines signed which many ITV regions do not.

Lucy looked very confident, a lot more confident and relaxed than Jon did. As for the set, well I like it. The backdrop looks fab and I cant wait to see it in daylight. I hope they use it on the daytime bulletins, that bit where Richard did the sport would be good for the daytime bulletins too with the screen there, anything is better than Andrew Jones as close to the screen as he was at 6.35 this morning! (I said last week he would be on GMTV bulletins Monday, didnt I! )

Nice having the weather presenters live in the studio too, shame the actual forcast was recorded. Im glad to see Ruth back as well, that was a surprise. Great to see Justina reporting too.

Overall its thumbs up from me. Smile

Well I'm finding it hard to look at -- the white panels are a little erm, bright. Surely it's recorded mind you, the sky isn't blue anymore.

As for HTV -- the graphics look a lot cleaner to me, probably one area they have improved in [weather used to be awful]

Why does it seem they have lost the ability to make proper stings? The West Tonight / Wales Tonight ones have both been tacky and the animation hasn't been in sync. Surely they could have edited the old ones?

I guess that over time it will grow on me, and i do like the backdrop image the water being included on screen is a nice touch and i would be nice to see Glyn Rosa (i think thats his name) the BSL man to be the main foucus on the headlines.

What gets me is ITV rebrand months away and they launch a brand new look programme, and still creating sets with the yellow lights, wouldn't it better to wait a few months?

Well in the North East I have seen the yellow lights turn red so they must change. And i have a feeling the |itv 1| logo will be blue again so maybe they can stay. I dont think they would carry on making these sets if there going to have a compleatly diffrent colour next year.

Don;t know if there's caps anywhere online, but that set is surprisingly versatile.

The day after Liverpool won the European...erm...thingy...(so shoot me, I hate football!) the whole Granada Reports set was re-lit red. Obviously easy enough to rejig in a very short time if they want to.

Doesn't matter what colour they use now, they can all match up whatever colour itv1 might choose for local news.

There's nothing in the rules of a rebrand that says they arn't allowed to use the same colours as present.

Look at BBC News, they've rebranded a few times during the corporate look era, but they are all variants of the same theme
