Awww, penguins all round I think.

Mind you coming full circle, I remember the hurt it caused me when young Jez formed his breakaway republic from the Wales Thread -- it's all very biblical this.

As for the relaunch, I'm expecting nothing I haven't seen before -- but my demands are a desk and a special stage for the deaf signing people.

Lucy can go I'm not arsed.

Someone told me there was a fight kicking off in here, but all is see is Jez's thinly veiled attempt at containing his rage.

He's like a powder keg with a long fuse; that's my considered opinion.

Well ive been suspecting a new look since last week actually as most of the bulletins came from the small studio, apart from the 6pm of course, and thats always a sign going by what happened at Westcountry.

Well my demand is Lucy stays - mind you they would have plenty of female presenters to take her place starting with Zoe Thomas, and Juliet Piper must surely be due back soon.

Anyway, it was Andrew Jones who presented the GMTV Wales opt outs this morning. Smile

Well, I'd prefer it if they'd resurect the more distinctive "Wales at Six" brand myself, but we can't have everything can we!

As for the rest of the revamp - well, if I expect a standard regional set anything else is a bonus! Do hope they go for a proper desk though rather than the sofa / coffee table set-up!

Also hope they finally get rid off their current news desk - all they seem to do each revamp is turn it round and give it a lick of paint!

I agree, id prefer it to be called Wales at Six as well, but Wales Tonight is far better than calling the main bulletin "ITV Wales News" - all the other regions have a different name for the main bulletin so why not Wales.

I wonder if they will get rid of the small studio when they have a new set Im not a fan of the small studio to be honest, it was terrible before the Feb 2004 revamp, and much better afterwards with the new screen, but I got bored of it quickly. I hope they launch the new set on the 6pm bulletin, Andrew Jones is bound to be on GMTV Wales bulletins next Monday and I dont want him launching the new look like he did in Feb 2004 on the mid morning bulletin.

The new set is probably going to be like all the new regional studios e.g. London Tonight
And they won't be keeping their current news desk!!!!!

Glad to hear it. I like the ITV regional news sets having seen the Granada, London, West and Westcountry ones.

What presenter changes will there be from Monday?

Well, don't take this as official yet.... But from my sources I have found out that one of ITV WALES' reporters have been bumped up to the desk.

Which indicates, I assume, that one of the current presenters has been bumped into the dole queue, or am I reading too much into this?

Lucy is leaving sometime next year (May I heard) and she'll be going national.

Well to be honest ive seen that coming for a while so im not surprised, it was obvious as soon as she startied doing the ITV news channel at weekends and more recently the ITV1 National News her days were numbered at ITV Wales. It will be difficult to find someone as good to take over though, id say Zoe Thomas if I was choosing someone.

But if she isnt going until next year what presenter changes will take place from Monday? Not Catharine Evans Williams reading the news surely? Shocked
