I only switched over to ITV West to see if James was on the weather – normally I wouldn’t dare as I find ITV Wales far more superior.

Great to see Justina read the news earlier today, I forgot to mention that last week she was on TV’s Naughtiest Blunders. Shocked

Quite a lot of regional output on ITV Wales this week again, including the return of one of HTV's longest serving (if not THE longest)show Wales This Week. However its in a graveyard Monday 11pm slot, while the rest of the network is enjoying repeats of season 2 of Footballers Wives, oh well I could always switch over to HTV West although im sure Mr Harvey would not approve! Wink

I wonder who we will get on weekend bulletins this week? Will it be;

Phillipa Meaken
Sally Johnson
Juliet Piper
Richard Nosworthy
Catharine Evan-Williams
Zoe Thomas
Andrew Jones
Justina Simpson
Carole Green
Rob Shelly
Jonathan Hill
Lucy Owen

Justina Simpson was reporting live from outside my old comprehensive school the other night on ITV Wales, also nice to see Zoe Thomas reporting live tonight, shame they had technical problems.

Well yes even I noticed Justina has been v good this week. Did you see Andrew Jones present nearly an entire GMTV Wales bulletin in the dark this week young Jez? He clearly wasn't ready and methinks was just too embarrassed once he'd started to press one of those noisy buttons they have there.

And I see HTV didn't seem to report on the proposed cutback of regional output/jobs in England yesterday or Thursday, but BBC Wales did -- featuring antique footage of HTV's gallery from years ago [since Nicola Heywood Thomas was on the screens] to make it look even more crap.

It doesn't apply to Wales/Scotland at the moment, but it can't be long surely, and then it's no more Birdwatcher. Boo.

I dont do GMTV Wales on Mon-Wed (unless Sally Johnson or Justina Simpson are presenting) so I missed it, what else can we expect from him though Rolling Eyes I did watch on Thurs/Fri as Sally Johnson was on, Sally is a very good morning presenter who ALWAYS wishes us a lovely day. Laughing

We have Richard Nosworthy this weekend on ITV Wales, he has improved a bit recently, but tbh im quite disappointed we havent got Phillipa Meaken, queen of messing up her lines Laughing

When will ITV realise the mistake it did by rebranding HTV into ITV1 WALES, What was wrong with HTV Wales, remember the continuity announcers saying your watching htv, itv1 here in wales, Well does anyone else agree with me on this?

I think you'll get a little better than 95% agreement on that one here, Timmy.

Welcome aboard.

Hi Timmy, welcome to the unofficial Wales Thread!
Dont expect much response because since the official Wales thread has been closed there isnt much activity now!

Whether it was a mistake is debatable but its all about programme quality really!

ITV Wales would be the PERFECT name for the channel mind!

Welcome to the forum Timmy, yes I agree with you that HTV should never have been rebranded. Only now am I getting used to the idea of HTV News being called ITV Wales News. Although I have to say, since the rebrand the titles, set and music are much better on the news.
