Yes - women seem to make much better news presenters than men!
I dont know why?
PS has Lucy Owen been spotted on the ITV News Channel yet?

Yes it does seem that the most of the best newsreaders at ITV Wales are female, Lucy/Juliet/Sally/Cath/Phillipa/Justina - although Jonathan Hill and Steve Taylor are both very good presenters, Richard Morgan wasnt a bad news presenter either, but it looks like he is now presenting the sport.
Richard Nosworthy has improved a bit, and seems to be doing a lot of live reports recently.
Ive not seen Lucy on the ITV NC this weekend. Not seen reporter Zoe Tape either so she must still be on honeymoon, I wonder if she will follow in the footsteps of Lucy, Juliet etc and change her surname, or will she do a Cath Evan-Williams and become Zoe Tape-Thomas?

shall we get tvdragon to create another superthread concerning everything about welsh tv; minus welsh tv talk?
what happened to philipa meakin today?

Phillipa Meaken presented the lunchtime bulletin, but sports presenter/reporter Rhodri Davies presented the later afternoon bulletin, presumably as there was coverage of all the goals from the Swansea/Cardiff/wrexham games. Bit daft having 2 presenters in on a Sunday if you ask me, couldnt Phillipa have done the later bulletin like last weekend? It was only a case of introducing 2 sports story's, the lunchtime bulletin with Phillipa was a maximum of 4 minutes long so it was hardly worth her coming in today!

Do we know if Juliet Piper has been confirmed as the weekend news presenter?
And will Rhodri present the Sunday tea-time sports edition?

Ive been away for the last week so ive no idea who presented the ITV Wales News, was it a “Juliet weekend” last weekend?
Andrew Jones is this weekends presenter it would appear, although if he is on weekends perhaps Sally Johnson will present a whole week of morning bulletins starting Tuesday!

A series of big stories will be in the spotlight for ITV Wales News in the Autumn.
The news team will start to focus close up on our politicians with a General Election looming in 2005. There will also be a strong sporting focus in our output with the Wales soccer team starting the World Cup qualifying games.
In rugby, fans will get their first real chance to see how the Wales rugby team is shaping up here at home under new coach Mike Ruddock following the southern hemisphere Summer tour.
The WALES ON THE MOVE campaign will also get extensive news coverage in September. Our news team will highlight what is happening in Wales as part of the ITV campaign to get people walking their way to fitness.
All the big stories will be covered alongside breaking news often live as it happens from all over Wales.
Head of News, John Williams said: “We now integrate our main news programmes with the main international ITV News.
“This means the late evening ITV Wales News is back in a regular weekday slot at ten to eleven so viewers know exactly when we are on.
“We have had a very positive response from viewers to this move so we know it puts us in a position of strength within the ITV schedule for the Autumn.”
