Caught the NWT preview of the weather graphics, which had a nice flyover of the region -- Derek was a little less detailed, instead including old footage of weather maps and.. himself.

Well it's been a day of rubbishness really -- HTV news goes all previous and crops itself [on digital] before logically necessary, and Derek's not done very well with designing the new BBC weather.

Surely the only way to view a 'full' picture is by setting 16:9 on your box, and still it won't look right. Jon's unimpressed.

Great to see Llandaff had a darlek outside mind you.

HTV didn't dwell on it for very long, and actually had some current pictures of BBC Wales, instead of the c.1993 footage shown on GMTV Wales, complete with old school flag.

Pffh! Llandaf is only down the road from me. I should have driven passed and lobbed some bricks at the lazy strikers!

Well Lucy Owen is in London today to interview Tom Jones. The interview will be shown tommorow on ITV Wales News at 6pm. Earlier today viewers were invited to text or e-mail in their questions for Tom.


Tara and Jonathan presented the main program tonight, and Justina Simpson presented the GMTV bulletins this morning.

Well I'm not sure how excited you are about Tom Jones returning to the valleys young Jez, but HTV certainly seem to be.

Unusual to have someone on the English side of the border watching HTV [rather than vice versa].

I couldnt care less about him returning to the valleys tbh, im more interested in Lucy, hmm, I think she will do a few stints on the News Channel while she is in London.

I noticed they said one of the winners was from Leominster as well, its definately in England (Central Land I think) , but with HTV on Sky we are bound to get viewers outside Wales entering the competitions!

I hope Justina Simpson presents GMTV Wales again tommorow!
