Yes Jez, it does seem that Chris Perry is becoming more of a regular on The Ferret.

Also it appears to be reasonable news that Ofcom are proposing that there is only a slight reduction of regional programmes in Wales - it appears that Scotland and Ireland are being hit harder and the English regions even more so!

I wonder if this means the return of programmes like Karaoke Queen?

Great to see Zoe Thomas make one of her rare appearances reading the news this weekend, IMHO she should spend more time behind the news desk, she would make an excellent replacement at 6pm as female anchor if Lucy and Juliet werent around.

I wonder if Andrew Jones will present a whole week of morning bulletins again this week Rolling Eyes Confused Razz

From the ITV Wales programme statement for 2005:

ITV WALES NEWS will continue to be our
flagship programme at 6pm on weekdays providing
a quality and comprehensive national news service
for Wales. Presented by Jonathan Hill and Lucy
Owen it will be re-launched in 2005 and will
continue to be first with the news.

Do we know who actually presented the weekend bulletins?

Because on Friday Juliet Piper announced that Rob Shelley will be presenting but today I'm sure I saw Juliet presenting instead!

Owan, I didnt see ITV Wales News yesterday so I dont know who presented im afraid, but Juliet Piper did indeed present the bulletins today so I assumed it was her yesterday too. Also she announced who will be doing GMTV Wales tommorow, *drumroll* - its sadsack! Very Happy

I was looking at ITV Wales programme statement for 2005 and it looks like we will be getting more Wales This Week, Waterfront, The Ferret, Grass Roots and Wales on the Move this year, as well as a new drama, and a second series of Chosen. Im also looking forward to the series ITV Wales are having this autumn on the history of ITV in Wales.

Never mind all that -- will there be a daffodil watch this year?

Course there will, St David's Day wouldnt be the same without it, just like it wouldnt be the same without Bara Brith and Welsh Cakes.

Rumour has it Andrew Jones is on GMTV Wales tommorow, lets hope he doesnt let the side down. And I hope my relation Sian Lloyd will do the weather.

And why are there no HTV specials this year on St David's Day.

Vile.

Daffodils are worth more on a national presenter -- I'm certain Sian Williams joins in, and of course Fiona Phillips usually turns Welsh for the day.

There are St David's day programmes on the bad channel and BBC Wales mind you -- this year featuring lesser-known Welsher, Donny Osmond.

Ive just spotted former HTV News presenter/reporter Rob Smith reporting live on the ITV News Channel.

He looks even younger now than when he presented on HTV News!

Ex-HTV News presenter/reporter Stuart Mcteer has now turned up on the ITV News Channel.

Is this the logical step for presenters to end up at ITN in London?

Rob Smith was freelancing at ITV News long before the re-launch. Prior to that he was at Sky News. It's been a while since he appeared on ITV News though.

Great edition of ITV Wales News tonight. In preparation for the big match tommorow ITV Wales had a party in Cardiff and much of the programme came from there, including reports from Justina Simpson (god she was only on morning bulletins yesterday) and Richard Morgan and the weather even came from there tonight (they let Ruth out for the day!). Lots of other presenters were seen there including Lucy, Tara and Phillipa. A brilliant programme well done ITV Wales - although I think Jon wished he was there not stuck in the studio!

I cant wait for tommorow - come on WALES, You can do it! Very Happy
