I’ve just spent a fortune buying half a mile of Blackpool illuminations for my front garden.

Well you know I've a feeling there wasn't one last year either, ohwhatawitch.

The lights competitions were great though. I remember the prize was a "luxury hamper" -- which was actually an old biscuit box filled with a dented tin of peaches, some penguins and dog chocolates.

I believe it was Nathaniel Cope doing that report tonight, nice to see them doing something different this year, they did the Xmas Lights Competition 2 years running on HTV News, Carole Green presented the hamper (with dog biscuits) to the winner last year.

Andrew Jones was reporting tonight on ITV Wales News, yesterday lunchtime at the end of his bulletin a tiny smile appeared on his face but it soon disapeared again Justina Simpson was also reporting tonight, on the dangers of fireworks, she has been doing quite a lot of reporting recently, yesterday she was enjoying a massage or something to releave stress, Lucy looked quite jealous tbh

I wonder if we will have the company of Andrew Jones on GMTV Bulletins tommorow

Welcome to the thread! You might have to donate those lights to brighten up the HTV News studio as it was rather lacking in decorations from what I remember last year. Not even a tree with a fairy on top!
