ITV Wales to get new news studio

That does look pretty bad. I doubt they'll leave it like that for too long, though.

Why make an attempt at a 'virtual set' you can't do in reality?

They'd have been better squeezing in the mini-version of the ITV News set in their new location. This one looks very bad!

I couldn't agree more about those black spots but when you compare it to the update STV News had it doesn't look half bad

How very odd. Zooming in (as much as I can on a smart phone) it looks as though they are Screens with a black Perspex panel in front.

Is this a temporary measure before larger screens will used in portrait mode (Ala daybreak v2 & GMB), or did somebody think that it would look right like that?

Hoping that this is not the final version of the set, that would probably rolled out to other regions.

I don't see an awful lot wrong with it to be honest.

Tuned in manually on Sky and I see nothing wrong with it, with the majority of shots being close ups, it just looks like some sort of barrier as it is so out of focus.

So with ITV Wales reinstating a proper name for their programme, does this open the floodgates for other regions to do so. I.e London Tonight.
