If the regions were to go blue insted of teal, it would match the national news and wouldn't look out of place. But, it wouldn't be independant.

What do you think?

(I thought this needed a new discussion)

In what way is it independent now?

Meridian still seems to be in the old blue and white colour theme. The same applies to Thames Valley considering they use Meridian's facilities. Rolling Eyes It just doesn't look teal and gold to me. It kinda sticks out like a sore thumb.

Blue is the main natural colour for us in the STV Region Very Happy, but we have had others, like purple for the launch of the new set in 2003. I really miss that set, but the current ones pretty cool too. Wink

I would like to see a little bit of difference creep into the various ITV regional news studios, even if they're all keeping the same desk and sofas, just use a different colour scheme that reflects each region. Here in the South West, Westcountry's corporate colour were Blue and Cyan, so the teal doesn't look too far out of place.

I get confused. I think of a newsroom as the place where all the journos etc. work, and the actual set as the news studio.

In my opinion, the good ol' days of News at Ten and individual designs for each newsroom and region continuity should be brought back.

Today's ITV is a right sh*thole.

I agree with what you are saying but their isn't another thread for general news presentation. So their is a problem their. I think two Newsroom type threads should be made for the website.

One for daily developements, presenters and reporters etc and general questions from members etc. The other being for their presentation and things like that.

A question Andrew, are you a bit, well special? You seem to have no grasp of what TELEVISION was getting at, at all.
