Someone on the forum commented that there is a faint projection of the live image onto the CSO screen, but even if that isn't true there appears to be only 4 specific positions on the set for the presenters to stand and stare at the blank green wall without looking completely deranged.
They are probably just looking at a monitor most of the time which is out of shot.

No, there is a projection, I think for certain sqaures. But for the shots of the far left and right of the wall, they look at a monitor that's close to the wall but not in view, giving the illusion that the presenter is looking at the wall.
