Susanna definitely doesn't have the gravitas for 6:30, Ten or even Lunchtime. Perhaps the odd weekend/christmas sort of bulletins when she gets axed on GMB. She could become almost as good as Charlene!
I don't really mean this in a bad way, but I feel that she would have that smug 'look at me' personality that Natasha Kaplinsky used to have on Five News, thankfully Natasha has lost all that since joining ITV News...

I know exactly what you mean - my whole family gets really annoyed by her smugness and just like Kaplinsky - going on Strictly and everything - I prefer Natasha to Susanna any day though, at least Natasha can present a proper news bulletin - I don't think Susanna is good enough for that!

In fairness Nina is busy with London Tonight, but when did Natasha last present the ITV News?. I quite like Charlene as a presenter more than Natasha. She is also presenting the news this evening, the Sunday bulletins are traditionally presented by more senior presenters than the Saturday bulletins.

Natasha hosted the 6:30 one day last week. Think she may of done the Ten also although not 100%. Nina was on 1:30 & LT that day iirc and I think Charlene wasn't available that day. Other than that one day I can't recall her last appearance before that.
Charlene White & James Mates appear to be the main cover presenters on the 6:30 & Ten, with the pair also hosting weekend evening & 1:30 news often.

Strange rota today, Nina did all three main bulletins 1:30/6:30/0:00. Despite the fact Charlene was in on London's rota. Do we think someone else was originally rotated for the 1:30? As seems silly to have Charlene not do the 1:30 and leave Nina to just have the main two evening bulletins with freelancers or reporters on the late London news. Long day for Nina.
Nice to see Ranvir doing the NaT tonight. From her time on North West Tonight, she has always seemed a competent journalist and newsreader. I hope she gets more opportunities on ITV News bulletins rather than just as a stand-in on GMB.
I did hear from an ITV contact before GMB started, and even before Daybreak started to die, that there is a big shakeup at ITV News coming up, this may be the start of that.
Maybe choosing Tom Bradby to led election night is part of this. He did a stint presenting NaT last year. I think he and Julie would make a great team.
