I'm pretty sure on the article on either mail or mirror online it showed her at her home recording facility. Unless itv/itn are no longer paying her and having to use someone else for the latest name recordings

I remember that article, I'm pretty sure it was in the Daily Record seeing as the announcer is Scottish...

Anyway - what did we think of Ranvir? I thought she was great as expected.

She did very well. Using her more with itv news could strengthen good morning Britain's itv news tie in.

The announcer is always Gayanne Potter. It sounds like the VOs for the main presenters and relief presenters at the time of the relaunch (Jan 2013) were recorded using a more professional set-up, maybe at ITN in London or somewhere else - the voice-overs for the more recent relief newsreaders (Ranvir, Jonathan Hill, etc.) are possibly recorded using Gayanne's personal home set-up.
I may be completely wrong, though. Cool

Nothing unusual from Ranvir, a longer programme like NaT just shows even more what a good presenter she is...

Ranvir even got the 'And Finally'...

The VO for Kylie Pentalow was definitely the English VO, and it was a English VO when Ranvir did the Sunday bulletin.

ITV News are definitely using Gayanne and someone else for whoever does the Saturday bulletin. Although I think Jonathan Hill has a VO done by Gayanne...

I'm really liking the mix of presenters at the moment, it makes a nice change to see some different faces. Both Charlene and ranvir are excellent and good to see them being used more.

As much as I like Charlene, I think she is more suited to the Lunchtime News (more relaxed style, lengthier interviews with studio guests).
I still class Nina as one of the best female newscasters on TV, along with Julie.
With all the recent female presenters filling in, I'm surprised we haven't seen the likes of Chris Ship tested on the 6.30 or Ten. He would be great, IMO. It's a shame Matt Barbet is no longer on ITV...

ITV are awash with great female newsreaders at the moment. Julie Etchingham leads the way. Mary, Natasha (who I agree with previous poster, suits ITV presentation), Ranvir, Charlene and Charlotte Hawkins

Lacking somewhat in male equivalents, I feel. I think there may have been a conscious effort to bring in more women.

Still waiting for Charlotte Hawkins and Susanna Reid to appear. Probably not Ben Shepherd though.

I would say Charlotte to make an appearance, but I don't think Susanna could pull it off...

Susanna definitely doesn't have the gravitas for 6:30, Ten or even Lunchtime. Perhaps the odd weekend/christmas sort of bulletins when she gets axed on GMB. She could become almost as good as Charlene! Wink
