I did hear from an ITV contact before GMB started, and even before Daybreak started to die, that there is a big shakeup at ITV News coming up, this may be the start of that.

Did they go into any further details on what this shakeup may entail? If this is the start of the shakeup, then I'm happy. Smile

Not the ITV Newshour thing at 6pm as I thought that got put to bed...

One of the things that makes me watch the 6:30 ITV News is the fact it's at 6:30 - as I often miss News at 6 on the BBC. It's at a convenient time for me and possibly other people - lots of people work until after 6. I like to see the main headlines and the program in full...

Lots of people work until every hour. I tend to work until midnight, there's no ITV News bulletin for me!

Great to see Ranvir Singh doing so well for herself. Was a bit unsure of her and Gordon Burns on NWT but she's really become quite fabulous.

I know, I know... Wink - but the majority of people I know finish from between 4:30 - 6:30 but like I was saying - 6:30 is a good time for me. Smile I agree - she really is developing into a proper newscaster who is just as good as Mary, Julie or Nina. She has the perfect balance. She has the gravitas and authority needed for a main bulletin, but you can relate to her, get to know and like her on Daybreak and Good Morning Britain.

I really enjoyed her and Gordon on NWT - it took some time to bed in but it was obvious they became good friends.

Good to see some northerners doing well. Glad Ranvir's gamble jumping to Daybreak hasn't flopped like so many have.

I agree - it's nice to have a nice northern accent to spice up the centralised industry that is TV News!

Or perhaps it's just a case that due to the main bulletins being displaced more often than not due to the World Cup that the main anchors are on leave and the randoms are filling in.

Will anyone be recording Ranvir doing tonight's Ten?

That VO was a bit of mish mash, both the Scottish and English VO was used...

Oh dear... I thought the VO lady had recording stuff in her home so she could record on demand. Or was that unfunny sarcasm by someone on TV Forum...

I'm pretty sure on the article on either mail or mirror online it showed her at her home recording facility. Unless itv/itn are no longer paying her and having to use someone else for the latest name recordings
