Kylie's done pretty well considering she's only been with ITV for 10 months, from presenting at Bristol to New York correspondent to presenting on the Nationals.
Can't help but notice but her voiceover is done by someone a lot less scottish than the normal person who does the voiceover.

Yeah I thought the VO sounded less Scottish, almost English in fact...

I'm almost certain the VO is different and English.

If I'm not mistaken, the words "This is ITV News" are voiced by the same Scottish voice as usual. Only the words "With Kylie Pentelow" are voiced by a different voice.
I remember seeing a news article about the original Scottish VoiceOver lady having a recording studio put in her house to specifically record alternate voiceovers for the program at last minute notices.
Matt Barbet's VoiceOver is also recorded on the day of his program, which to me sounds similar to Kylie's.

I don't understand why. She, like Andrea Byrne is nothing special, IMO. People like Sascha Williams and Faye Barker seem to be overlooked - which I find odd.
There doesn't seem to be any desire for a regular Saturday host for some reason - perhaps freelancers and randoms just work out cheaper for them, but I'd have thought just having a regular host attached at least to the Saturday bulletins (and continuing to use the more senior presenters on Sunday nights) would work well for them.
Do they have the same host from 8.25am through to the late evening bulletin, or does one do breakfast/lunch and then someone else do the main bulletins?
