Can't quite put my finger on it, but there's something I really like about Charlene's style of presentation. I think it's her relaxed and very natural manner. Really glad to see her getting a turn on NAT.
I thought she did a very good job last night to be honest and I in the past have not always seen why people have rated her. Once again another good presenter. I do think that maybe they should split the presenters on ITV News to three days a week and let people like Charlene, Natasha, Rommily, Nina, Steve, James and Matt have a specific slot; I know James kind of does Sundays but there is so much under used talent at ITV News.
Maybe these are the real ones who should be presenting ITV Breakfast rather than paying over the odds for people form other channels only to axe them a few months later.
They can't just let anyone be a newscaster and all those names you listed are clearly the B-team - a good B-team granted, but none of them at this moment in time good enough to justify scaling down the A-teams shifts for.

I absolutely agree. Susanna Reid is pretty rubbish compared to Nina, Natasha or Charlene. And also Ranvir and Helen are brilliant. Would love to see Charlene on the GMB sofa when Susanna gets axed!

I must agreee with everyone else, charlene is a brillant presenter and is very underused by itv news, would like to see her more across the itv bulletins. They need to use her more and get rid of natasha

I sort of know what you mean, I'd put it down to lack of experience of doing NaT whereas Julie or Mary have that strong edge. Charlene is great at what she does though, I can't think if anyone better to do Christmas Day. But, she is a great presenter.
