So are there any Regional presenters/reporters who would be good at National presenting on ITV?

Andrea Byrne from Wales and Lucy Meacock from Granada would be good.

I would love to see Andrea do more weekday national news.

What about Jess Dunsdon from Channel or Pam Royle from Border/Tyne Tees?

Although I would like to see Alex Hyndman/Hill back on the Nationals.

Jess would be good but it'd be a hell of a commute! Not too sure about Pam myself, she lacks any gravitas.

I've always thought Vanessa Cuddeford from West Country would be good on the Nationals, once she's come back from Mat leave of course which should be in the next few weeks if I'm correct.

I've said it a couple of times that Rachel McTavish would be an amazing newscaster for the Nationals. But we're sort of lucky to have Rachel at STV Central just now.

Second that! Rachel is a asset to STV. Give her a permanent contract STV!!

Pam Royle lacks gravitas? and you suggest Vanessa Cuddeford! Paint dry would have more gravitas!

We'll probably see Alexandra Hill make her return once Faye Barker goes on maternity leave.

Alastair Stewart was originally down to do the EN and NAT today. However, after the issues at Heathrow today which significantly delayed his return from Oklahoma, he's now been given the day off. James Mates will deputize.

Did Mary and James switch seats during the break? I'm sure Mary was on the right of the screen (her left)...
