Ive noticed that rather than various other presenters covering for the main 4 presenters, they tend to cover each others bulletins e.g. on Friday Mary and Alistair did News At Ten in place of Julie and Mark. Natasha and James seem to be the main replacement presenters on weekdays when one of the main 4 arent there.

On weekends on Saturdays it seems to be a rota of Andrea, Lucy, Chris and Steve and on Sundays it seems to be Natasha, James or one of the main 4 presenters.

Ive not seen Geraint present this year, is he no longer presenting the news?

The four main newscasters have tended to cover each other since September 2009 when Alastair tookover from Mark at 6:30.

Andrea and James are heavily used on the Saturday and Sunday bulletins respectively with the others presenting lesser times.

Geraint, like Romilly seem to be emergency cover.

Varying newscasters as to who presents the lunchtime news, likewise with weekend news, could this be related to viewing figures?

Is there a difference between 'Sports Reporter' & 'Sports Correspondent'?

Probably a few grand. Isn't there a Sports Editor (Steve Scott?) as well?

Not really, it's just an ego thing. Reporters prefer to be correspondents - it sounds more grand.

Is it now common place for the presenter of the London daybreak to host the 11:30am summary? Faye Barker just done it then, or has it gone unnoticed that she presents the 1:30 news sometimes too? As I'm at work weekdays I never see this bulletin.
