Alastair Stewart read the 1, 6.30 and 10 news this evening. Seems like quite a long shift for one presenter. Would this have been scheduled or did Mark Austin call in sick at short notice?
Possibly I suppose. You would have thought they would have James/Steve/Natasha to present the 1:30. Also, Charlene White must be still ill, Sangeeta Kandola presented the 5:30 this morning not sure who did it yesterday though.
I think Charlene is just off. As regards to Alistair this isn't the first time he has done this, on numerous Fridays he has presented all three bulletins.

I think Sangeeta is the third in command as it were but despite presenting the morning news bulletins she never gets the opportunity to present anything else. On numerous occasions when Charlene, Faye or even Matt Teale present the lunchtime bulletin and London Tonight somebody always presents the lunchtime bulletin if Sangeeta is on London Tonight. It's as if they don't trust her with any other bulletin.

Seems odd shes a very good presenter, in my opinion. Well at the minute there's not many bulletins she can present, as most weeks now Faye and Charlene do the London shift and ITV lunchtime bulletin. Unless the start getting Faye and Charlene to do the Evening and Late Bulletin then she could do that shift.
