Shes good at reading the autocue but I want the autocue to break during one of her shifts to see how she deals with it .

Genuinely, what is wrong with you?

Because I want to see how a certain journalist/newsreader deals with no autocue, that means there is something wrong with me? Thanks.

The way you said it, I think so. You didn't say "She's good at reading the autocue but I wonder if her presenting skills stretch to being able to ad-lib in the case of breaking news or technical failure", or "She's good at reading the autocue but I'd be interested to know what her journalistic credentials are and whether she's capable as a journalist". You said you'd like to see the woman put in a stressful position that proves nothing about her ability as a journalist to test a fairly unfounded hypothesis. By the same logic do you 'want to see a police officer lose the criminal he's arresting to see how fast he can run'? Would you say 'I want the autopilot to fail to see how good a pilot he is'? I have no problem with the theory a newsreader may be an "airhead", but casually hoping or wishing for an unfortunate circumstance to transpire in order to test that theory seems unnecessary and mean-spirited.

It's Andrea Benfield's debut on the News at 10 tonight.

She seems to adopted a style of shouting the news in cold and patronizing manner over the last few day's, I wish they would keep NAT to a restricted team like they have done until this year if only 3 male presenters can anchor the programme since Trevor has left why do the females need to be so varied we've had Julie, Mary, Katie (until she left) Nina, Romilly, Daisy and now Andrea.

AFAIK, Daisy hasn't presented NaT. She has presented the 6.30, though. I may be wrong...
In ITV's defence, ( Shocked ) it is the summer - at least they had Alastair on (one of the main four).
Sally Biddulph on duty today.

I'm, sure she has with James Mates could anyone clarify for us?

Daisy has presented with James.

Personally I think itv news needs a clear out of its current presenters. I would like to see skys anna jones or bbcs jane hill brought in. They also need a overhaul of the look feel and content of the programmes.

That's a pretty thorough change - presenters, content, look and feel!

Only the look needs working on. The current one is appalling. Its time to ditch the virtual studio nonsense and go back to having a proper studio. And I understand they want yellow and black graphics but the current ones are awful. Even just stealing the 'Tonight' graphics would be better. They're the right colours and far more classy.

The presenters are fine and are hardly ever the problem on any programme. They could improve the way they use the presenters though. ITV News viewers apparently say the human interest angle is why they watch ITV News (although if that puts off other viewers is open to debate, but its best to build on an audience rather than alienate it and go for another one).

And what on earth was she bopping about at? I was getting a bit sea sick by the amount of times that she was going left and right....

Haven't seen many bulletins recently, whos been presenting? And who's been on over Christmas? A problem is that ITV need to find some presenters and stick with them. I don't see why the same presenter doesn't do the weekends all the time? or even two roatating rather than the current list of 6 or 7!

The 5:30 bulletin is the same, they have two main presenters who alternate weeks, but then according to Wikipedia 10 others who fill in? Why it have a team of 4 two main, two reliefs?

I did read somewhere that they were introducing a 9:25am bulletin on weekends? If this is correct it sounds great, but wonder who will present this? I wonder who's 'on duty' at the time the 5:30 presenter or the London Tonight/Lunchtime presenter?
