Was thinking about itv news presenters, and wondered if anyone else thought that charlene white could do with a a bit more national news exposure. She could quite easily do the weekend news instead of bringing in andrea benfield.


Totally agree with you, Tom. Both Charlene and Faye Barker are the main presenters on the Morning News, and do a really good job. Why can't we have them presenting Saturday's main bulletins, instead of Andrea, Romilly and Daisy?

Would rather have charlene,faye and rachel mctavish doing the weekends than daisy,romilly or andrea.

AFAIK, Daisy hasn't presented NaT. She has presented the 6.30, though. I may be wrong...
In ITV's defence, ( Shocked ) it is the summer - at least they had Alastair on (one of the main four).
Sally Biddulph on duty today.

Wow, times must be hard if they've got Sally doing the news. Shes good at reading the autocue but I want the autocue to break during one of her shifts to see how she deals with it. She comes across as a bit of an airhead when shes reporting so I imagine she'd just be a rabbit stuck in headlines in such a situation.

She's done it before at weekends - she's very wooden and needs practice.

Julie was supposed to be presenting but was obviously diverted onto those live Tonight specials midweek which is why Andrea turned up doing high profile shifts

Because I want to see how a certain journalist/newsreader deals with no autocue, that means there is something wrong with me? Thanks.

Personally I prefer Andrea's delivery over Sally Biddulph, although I was impressed with the latter when she covered LT.
