Sometimes the lunchtime bulletins, particularly on the weekend days will still be hosted by a lesser known face at Christmas, I bet that will be the case this Saturday. But the rest of the strategy, where each presenter does one day each, all bulletins has been the way for years.
Will be interesting to see if we get a B team presenter to present the late bulletin on Saturday counting down into 2017?

A 45-minute slot this year from 11.30-12.15.
And STV isn't showing it. STV isn't showing a late ITN bulletin this year and it didn't do so last year. I'm aware that STV did have a separate ITN bulletin on New Year's Eve night from 2010 to 2014.

The same applys to BBC Scotland, its one of the only times each year where sperate bulletins are created from Scotland and England. Many a time over the past 30 years ITN had to create an extra one. I think the last time ITV England cared was in 08-09 with elton John, Im sure STV opt out of that, there always went live to Edinburgh.
Its only been of late ITV has slotted in this News at New years bulletin across the bells. There was on at 92-93 but there was a gap for many years.

But the practice of producing a separate ITV News bulletin for the STV area has ceased.
According to the TiVO guide ITV News is on at 16.45 and then nothing after that. Are they not doing the Scotland / Rest of the UK late news split this year?
