The weekend bulletins were the usual quick 5 mins, but the teatime ones this week seem to be longer. The national news itself is longer than at the weekend as well.

Alastair Stewart done the 11pm bulletin, but was this a Scotland only ITV News bulletin again this year? Only reason I'm asking is that the credits had 'Have a great 2015 Scotland!'

Yep, that was Scotland only. He did the news for the rest of the UK at 11.55pm

Lucy Meacock on tonights programme - haven't seen her on the nationals for some time, they've been utilising Kylie Pentelow a lot recently.

Kylie Pentalow is a great newsreader, hopefully she will join the A team sometime in the future.

Ambitious is the first thing that springs to mind about Kylie, however she's a solid newsreader.

She may well go the same way as Andrea Byrne who of course covered several of the national bulletins for a time.

I never found Andrea Byrne's style of presenting very warm or engaging.
