There have been examples of this before. Tim Ewart was one of GMTV's first signings, but during 1992, he didn't like the way things were going regarding their plans so he decided to rejoin ITN before GMTV were even on air. Not sure if he even got as far as doing pilots, or even leaving ITN.


Funnily enough Tim is Penny's husband, according to the Daily Mail

Just before you post in this thread it says "Posts should not relate to presenter's personal life". It's not like it's offensive or anything, it just adds nothing of any value to the discussion. I really don't care that she happens to be married to someone I see on the telly sometimes. Rolling Eyes

On this occasion it's more of an interesting aside, as it's seems a bit of a coincidence the first similar case mentioned of this happening involved her husband. Given that you can't complain about a quick mention!

Sorry for going OT on this thread. I was surprised to see Eastbourne on the weather map as the area was in the BBC South region in 1996.

According to the EPG, Lucrezia Millarini is presenting the lunchtime bulletin today (Friday). I know she's presented off-peak national bulletins at weekends before, however I think it's the first time she's been on one of the weekday main bulletins.

She was down on the EPG to present the lunchtime news a few weeks ago but that never materialised.

Yes. STV also does not broadcast the Coming up on NaT promo at 22.58 when there is advert.

Natasha seems to do Fridays quite often, and James Mates is probably the most senior relief presenter, so it's not too unusual.
