Who would you like to see presenting which bulletin?

This is what I would like to see:

ITV Morning News - Rachel McTavish/Alastair Stewart
----------
ITV Lunchtime News - Mary Nightingale and Nicholas Owen
----------
ITV Evening News - Nina Hussein and Scott Chisholm
----------
ITV Nightly News - Katie Derham/Mark Austin
----------
ITV News Summaries (weekdays - ITV1, 2, 3 + 4) - Susan Bookbinder/Joyce Ohajah
----------
ITV Weekend News - Felicity Barr/Andrea Catherwood/James Mates/Steve Scott

Couldn't this have been posted in the ITV News thread? Rolling Eyes

I thought the general consensus was that generic/official threads were not encouraged whereas new threads with a new stand-alone subject were allowed!

I used to love the old ITV News thread.

No its best here as to not disrupt proper discussion in the ITV News thread

Scott Chisholm on the Evening News, oh please!

He only worked at ITV News for 2 weeks, he's been forgotten about already

I agree, why was it shut down?

In-line with the ITV News Channel closing down. I can't think of any other reason.

My line up would be

ITV Lunchtime News - Nick Owen and Shulie Ghosh
ITV Evening News - Mark Austin and Nina Hossain
ITV Nightly News - James Mates (Felicity and Steve would share the sport)

Andrea Catherwood would stand in for Shulie and Nina when needed, and Mark Austin would stand in on the Nightly News. Nick Owen would stand in on the Evening News.

Weekends - Lucy Owen, Lauren Taylor, Andrea Catherwood.

Not a bad line-up there Jez. But I would move Shulie Ghosh to the weekend shifts and re-introduce Katie Derham to the ITV Lunchtime News.

I think James Mates really suits the ITV News at 10:30 and Mark Austin is suited to the ITV Evening News. Mark Austin would be replacement as you said.

I have to say that I agree about Nina Hossain getting a permanent role with ITV News. Hopefully, bosses will be so impressed with her and give her a bigger slice of the cake.

I know this is nothing to do with this thread - but I am going to be a rebel, and say that I have just seen ABC World News Tonight webcast with Elizabeth Vargas. She is one of the replacements for the legend that was Peter Jennings. It was very good! An idea which may catch on here very soon? She may even be as good as my fav US anchor; Lynne Russell of CNN Headline News fame. (Sorry boss people)

I would like to see the following -

Nicholas Owen and Nina Hossain co-presenting the Lunchtime News

Mark Austin and Mary Nightingale co-presenting the Evening News

Alastair Stewart and Katie Derham co-presenting the Nightly News (They would still do London Tonight at 6pm too).

I would have Andrea Catherwood, James Mates, Bill Neely, Chris Rogers, Shiulie Ghosh and Leyla Daybelge doing weekend bulletins and acting as stand-ins on the main programmes. They would do the ITV Morning News too.

Was is co-presented by Bob Woodruff and Liz Vargas, or are they just going to switch between the two?
