I've called the helpline 0870 600 6766 and there is NOW information for the restoration of the ITV News Channel - Via button 1

This now has a schedule for the restoration on DTT

So much for 'Early' 2005 then...

I can't belive ITV Plc. are putting Border as the last area to resume service... even putting Ulster, STV and Grampian before it!

Yes, seeing as Grampian, UTV & Scottish are the most anti-ITV plc regions - I wonder if they will fall to corporate news like Channel did, eventually.

I take it that nobody at ITV has told ITV that ITV has been rebranded in the "regions previously known as".

Has anyone phoned up the 0870 600 6766 number with info about the ITV News channel.

Its a total joke! That Chav who has recorded the message wants to be given her P45. Its full of errors! For a start she KEEPS on calling it the ITN News channel (Yes, I know it really is the ITN news channel, just branded as the ITV News Channel, but its not the point), Also She refers to Wales and West as HTV!, and listen to the way she says "Meridian", you can tell she has never even heard of the name!

Did I not draw attention to precisely that fact in the post immediately above yours?

Taking into account Border are the region that will be first to have analogue turned off you'd think we'd have more priority.

i'd imagine people are far more familiar with "HTV wales" and "HTV west" than the new names. the helpline is just recognising that fact.

I think the 'Wales' part is the give away not whether the 'H' has been replaced with an 'I'

would your average punter know the difference between itv west and itv westcountry though?

I would imagine even the 'average punter' punter would know if they lived in the west country or not. West Country is not just a term used by ITV.
