The ITV News Channel is no longer broadcasting

The Freeview channel number has been removed from the slides promoting Evening News Extra:

Farewell to the ITV News Channel - I missed you when you went - and whilst you were back it proved good having a third news option.

Some portions of the day are under-par but on the whole I think they can match the output of the other two and throughout this year ITV News (in general) has excelled itself (at last)

I wonder if more effort will be put into the 13:30 - 18:00 ITV NC slots to try to gain more viewers to make up for the lack of evening service?

Oh come on, how could you not see thats Sky News? It looks frankly very dodgy.

One almost gets the sense of the dying days...

Basically, there was a report on tonigh's ITV Evening News and it used this background :-

It was begging for that SKY News Breaking News - so I added it!

Breaking News on sky is now Red on White these days...

They still haven't got the aspect ratios on DTT quite right - all ITVNC output is in 4:3, meaning that the ad breaks are currently 14:9 squashed to 4:3

And the new hours for the channel are now being advertised on the ticker:

So it looks like ITVNC ends daily at 5.30pm on DTT, cut off in mid-sentence.

I wonder why they're doing that. They could easily do the BBC thing of ending at :57, giving 3 minutes, and also ending the News Channel heading into the advert break.
