Do we think it likely that the ITV News studio will now be used for other programmes now that is only going to be utilised for 4 bulletins a day with all that technology at their disposal ?
They could use it for the new politics programme, whenever that starts and any other studio based, discussion type shows or for Tonight with Trevor McDonald or something.
Also, if there are to be any kind of cosmetic changes to the set for the launch of the 'Nightly News' in January, wonder if they'll decamp into the virtual set during the Christmas / New Year break for the ITV1 bulletins.

Don't forget that there are to be various bulletins introduced across the ITV Network - however, this may still leave Studio 1 with no use.
In terms of "will they move for the change", as far as I know there are only minor chnges being made. This suggests something like a new desk and seating, and a differently themed newswall - nothing major enough to shunt bulletins over he next month into the other studio.

you keep repeating that as if it were cast in stone, but as there have no announcements or confirmations of any sort - I'll believe it when i see it.
I'm only saying what has been released through reports from MG etc, which is what ITN have claimed - obviously I can't confirm that, but it should be believed no less than these alleged "refreshed ITV News" proposals.

Assorted caps from this morning - including the nice shots using the jib, and the tracking markers for the cameras on the studio ceiling.

Nice screen captures, interesting to see what the studio looks like from behind the camera.
