they may end at 3 mintutes to 6 like they do with every other hour
It's not 'just another hour' though; this is their final hour so they need not worry about taking an ad break in time for he TOTH...

ITV News Channel signs off
Paul Revoir
23 December 2005 08:34
The ITV News Channel will bow out at 6pm tonight with a 30-minute documentary celebrating the highlights of the channel's coverage over the last five years.
Alastair Stewart, the channel's award-winning anchor, will present the 'best of' show, which will look at ITV News Channel and predecessor ITN News Channel's coverage of major events including 9/11, the war in Iraq and the 7/7 terror attacks in London.
The programme will also feature interviews with people in the TV industry including rivals such as Five news chief Chris Shaw and the new controller of BBC News 24 Kevin Bakhurst.
"It's a fitting way to wrap up five years of hard work by lots of talented people. We wanted to mark the end by looking back at all the huge stories we've covered and show that we are proud of everything we have achieved," said Ben Rayner, the editor of the channel.
ITV announced earlier this week that it was going to close the channel today (Friday), ahead of the expected end of January closure, so staff did not have to work over Christmas.
"The staff and management of the channel have agreed that we could not expect the News Channel's dedicated staff to work their usual long hours and shift patterns over Christmas at a time when the channel's closure is imminent," said ITV News and regions chief executive Clive Jones.
He added that ITV hoped to start redeploying the 70 or so staff affected by the closure in the new year.
ITV announced that it was closing the channel last week following several years of losses. It is understood to have cost ITV an additional £3.5m a year to run on top of its usual ITV News costs.

He then says "before we say our final bye-bye at six".

I hope they do wrap up before the top of the hour, otherwise Freeviewers will miss the end. They ought to just hold on the ITN endcap from just before 5.59
