A very sad day for broadcasting news, yet I'm glad to see a laidback atmosphere this morning. Somewhat ironic that the ITV News Channel's closure is confirmed as soon as a real strong breakfast team to rival any other cmes along - as has been proven today.
Scott's been talking to the producers, and Alastair's made various references, and real experimenting today; for example, a nice swooping shot around the back of the desk just now.
i agree, what a fabulous day of tv the nc are bringing us today, its really nice to see. Scott's style really fitted in well this morning and i think its sad that this style is only being 'experimented' with today on the last day. I liked that sweeping shot just now too. I nearly choked on my ready brek watching Scott and that dishy showbiz bloke with Freddie Flitntoff's eyes on that newspaper. Don't think we'd get that over on n24 would we? A decent REAL set and less repetition throughout the day and I think today's style would go down really well, perhaps that's what we'll see with their new 'tie-less' news? who can say!
