I'm doing a 7am-3pm shift at work tomorrow, so I'll get to miss some part, but I'll set the DVD Recorder for the last hour of the Alastair Stewart show and probably watch and record the last bits, I wonder who'll be the last person on the NC?
I'm hoping for Andrew Harvey or Leyla Daybelge as they've been there since the very early days.
Me hopes NTL UK doesn't follow NTL Ireland's decision, but I've got Freeview if I'm stuck.

Alastair said that he hoped people would make a special effort to join him tomorrow because it'll be the last one.
Looking at the Radio Times, though, I notice that the Lunchtime News is at 12.15 tomorrow, so the end of Alastair's final show may be curtailed.
The only other reference I've seen to the closure today was when Chris Rogers said goodbye to Jeremy Batstone and that it had been good working with him.
UK Today (just after 3.30) may be worth watching tomorrow afternoon in case any of the regional presenters say something.

A good start to the final 12 hours of the itv news channel. the scott chisholm show has been good. today is the first time i have ever seen his show.
nice shot of the studio earlier and the floor manager dashed on and gave scott some papers as they went to the break
also a review of the papers he told the cameraman to zoom in on a picture and said "this must be the longest zoom in history. is that in focus or is it my eyes"
shame the end is near for the scott chrisholm show as i am impressed.
they have now just had a graphics failure. the arial shot grapics they had a plane flying in and then it went black as scott was saying the top holiday destinations. scott said "they are not traveling to the black thats for sure" very comical show this morning
now having a debate on how to cook roast potatoes

It is a real shame the news channel is going - It has been slagged off so much... I have always found the presenters to be very interesting and the news channel really has tried hard.
I have watched the news channel since the days on ITN, it had a certain 'je ne sais quoi'. The Scott Chisholm, Alasdair Stewert, Angela Rippon & Jon Nicolson shows that are unrivalled on the other news channels - the balance is just right.
A sad day indeed.
Are there any presenters we definately won't see now...
The classics I would like to see are...
Leyla, Owen, Felicity, Andrew, Jon Nicolson....
Theorerically there are only 3 presenting slots left today...
