You didn't see that many reports from UTV on it because ITN (who were the GMTV news providers in this region until Jan this year) provided many of the stories since they were based here.

There's been a few going over, and I think McMillan (who hold the current GMTV license) supply stuff to them too.

I don't usually see Alastair Stewart - does Nicholas Owen usually do the news summary?

Only since the launch of the Scott Chisholm show last week, with one LN host doing the 10pm summary and the other doing the 11pm summary.

Previously Lucy Alexander continued with the summaries after hosting the breakfast show.

Some nice words from Jo Malin at Central News on UK Today: "From everyone here in Birmingham, good luck to everyone who works on the News Channel - we're going to miss you"

In return, Felicity Barr complimented Jo on the Central News Christmas Tree.

Also, I hadn't seen Lisa Aziz on UK Today since she joined ITV West, but she was also on today.

Will it take a break at 17.56 then go off air?

I guess we won't know for certain till Friday. I'd like to see the regular ITV News break sting play - and then the blocks slip and the ITV News logo fall down!

No, but without speculation where would TV Forum be?

5.56pm, Friday December 23
Caption pops up: "Breaking news: America declares war on Iran".
After a quick summary from the newsreader in charge (or by that point, probably the cleaner), they'll then say "After the break, ITV4, which starts with The Protectors. For further news on the end of the world .... ah who cares?" and will then walk off.

On the phone to the CIA or MI6 informing them of some breaking news perhaps..............

I wouldn't put it past one of you to suddenly become a suicide bomber just to see how they would react. Who are you are you intending to sacrifice as the bomber - one of the most recent banned from the forum perhaps? Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Considering how predictable most the breaking news stories are, we'll probably get a "Breaking News: ITV News Channel to close now" message.

Or perhaps "Breaking News: Unemployment figures increase"

I watched Joanne - the NC's sports reporter sounding confident for once. Was this because she was in the newsroom and not in the studio with Scott?
