Londoner can you tell us what they were saying about the NC set changes ?

I suspect it's not a case of ITV wanting to find a way to keep the channel open long-term - more a case of ITV don't want one of their 4 Freeview streams to be blank half the day for a couple of months until the kids channel launches!

He didn't say much, just that the 'theatre of news' is being refreshed (can't remember the exact term used on his Powerpoint slide - 're-imaging' or something like that) and that as part of that new year revamp the NC would benefit from the new set and new presenters (presumably Chisholm's breakfast programme is part of that).

Maybe this means they are changing the walk way and maybe widening it at sides to fit a small table of some sort (for breakfast)

This shows itv are not in the Bussiness for bringing the latest news for Britain this is a sad day and it means we now only have two news channels who will bring their presentations to the British public on the day's news, as for the itv news on itv1 it is going to suffer without its channel.

With the talk of new bulletins on itv 2 and 3 - I would not be surprised to see the itv news channel live on in some from. ITV3 could easily have an ITV News Breakfast or Live with Alasdair Stewert...
